COLLEGE BOUND AAU BASKETBALL

My daughter, Siobhan, made the first AAU team that Sydney coached.  We were thrilled that Sydney played college basketball, and it was obvious she had an excellent knowledge of the game. Little did we know at the time, her coaching would be, hands down, the greatest basketball experience in my daughter's and our lives. What is really exceptional about Sydney is how she coaches the game. Her insight is a gift. She has high expectations and TEACHES them.  She speaks to players individually. They LEARN from their mistakes (rather then, like some coaches do, get publicly humiliated by them).  She coaches with respect and the team respects her. Playing for Sydney was a turning point in my daughter’s life both on and off the court. We were amazed by the skills she learned under Sydney and she became one of the strongest basketball players on her school team. Sydney is the coach my daughter and I will never forget and will always appreciate.

As my assistant coach at Sierra College, Kylee helped me become a confident individual both on and off the basketball court.  Her down to earth personality gave me the opportunity to learn from someone who had achieved many of the goals I was aspiring for myself.  Having a positive role model such as her at practice everyday allowed me to keep my life goals in perspective, and she was always willing to do whatever necessary to help my teammates and I reach our full potential.
